Your Abu Dhabi City Tour – Step by Step

1. Hotel Pickup & Departure

Your Abu Dhabi sightseeing experience begins with hotel or residence pickup at the confirmed time.

If you are staying in Abu Dhabi, pickup is arranged directly from your hotel.

If you are travelling from Dubai, Dubai pickup can be arranged as an additional transfer option, subject to availability and the selected package.

Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle while your driver-guide explains the day's itinerary and important information about the attractions.

2. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Your first major stop is the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Explore the mosque complex and admire its white marble architecture, enormous domes, columns, decorative details, reflective pools and peaceful courtyards.

The mosque welcomes visitors of different faiths, and visitors can also join official cultural tours when available.

Current Visitor Hours

The mosque's official visitor schedule currently lists:

  • Monday–Thursday & Sunday: 9:00 AM–9:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:30 PM–9:00 PM
  • Last entry is generally before closing time.

The official schedule can change during Ramadan and special periods, so the current visitor schedule should be confirmed for your travel date.

Important: Visitors should obtain the required access pass before visiting.

3. Yas Island Scenic Drive

After the mosque, continue towards Yas Island, Abu Dhabi's major entertainment and leisure district.

During the drive, you'll see or pass near attractions such as:

  • Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
  • Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi
  • Yas Waterworld
  • SeaWorld Abu Dhabi
  • Yas Marina Circuit

These are drive-by/photo-stop experiences unless an attraction ticket has been specifically added to your booking.

This keeps the itinerary practical for a one-day Abu Dhabi city tour.

4. Louvre Abu Dhabi

Continue to Saadiyat Island and the spectacular Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The museum combines international art and cultural history with its distinctive modern architecture and dramatic dome.

Important Ticket Information

Louvre Abu Dhabi admission is not included in the standard package unless specifically selected.

If you want to enter the museum, add the appropriate admission ticket when booking.

The museum's current official schedule lists:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: galleries and exhibitions 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
  • Friday–Sunday: 10:00 AM–8:30 PM
  • Monday: Closed

The dome remains open later, but gallery access requires the appropriate ticket and follows the museum schedule.

Important: Because Louvre Abu Dhabi is closed on Mondays, the itinerary should be adjusted if your tour falls on Monday.

5. Qasr Al Watan

Continue to Qasr Al Watan, the Presidential Palace and one of Abu Dhabi's most impressive architectural landmarks.

Explore its grand halls, detailed interiors, exhibitions and cultural displays that provide insight into UAE heritage, governance and craftsmanship.

Qasr Al Watan admission is not included in the standard package unless specifically selected.

If your package does not include admission, this attraction should be described as an exterior/photo stop rather than a palace visit.

6. Emirates Palace Photo Stop

Continue towards Emirates Palace, one of Abu Dhabi's most recognisable luxury landmarks.

Take photographs of the grand exterior, domes and surrounding architecture from permitted public areas.

Entry into private areas or hotel facilities is not included.

7. Corniche Waterfront

Enjoy a scenic drive along Abu Dhabi Corniche, one of the city's most popular waterfront areas.

Take in views of the Arabian Gulf, landscaped promenades and Abu Dhabi's modern skyline.

Depending on traffic and the day's schedule, your guide may arrange a short photo stop.

8. Al Bateen & Presidential Area

Continue through the Al Bateen area, known for its waterfront setting, beaches and residential surroundings.

This section provides a quieter contrast to Abu Dhabi's major attractions and offers additional opportunities for scenic photographs.

9. Return to Your Hotel

After completing the day's sightseeing, relax in the air-conditioned vehicle while your driver returns you to your hotel or agreed drop-off location.

The exact return time depends on your pickup location, traffic, attraction entries and the final itinerary selected.
